Mahesh Bhatt is SHOCKED after Mallika Sherawat confessed about sexual harassment in Bollywood

In recent media reports, Mahesh Bhatt has expressed his shock when he came across the incidents that were revealed by Mallika. He also expressed disappointment over the fact that if he was aware of these incidents, he would have definitely stood up for her, even if it means fighting it out within the fraternity. Continuing to heap praises at his Murder actress, Mahesh stated that she was a strong girl and also expressed his anger over such people who made her a victim of their imaginary power.

Reports also have it that Mahesh Bhatt found it unbelievable that Mallika didn’t share such an important detail with him considering that she often shares a lot of details with the filmmaker due to their rapport. He also reportedly felt upset that he never realized what she was fighting with.

The filmmaker stated that in a place like Bollywood, where relations are often tentative, Mallika has stayed in touch in with him. He appreciates her for doing so despite travelling to places from U.S to Paris. Besides all these, Mahesh has also wished her all the luck in reports and also is quite happy about her going to places.

Anubhav Sinha under threat for his allegedly pro-Muslim film Mulk

Anubhav Sinha under threat for his allegedly pro-Muslim film Mulk

You would think that the threats and bullying for his new film Mulk would daunt Anubhav Sinha who has made romantic films all his life. Suddenly the romantic is facing the flak. “Just because Mulk addresses some uncomfortable home-truths trolls are having a field day. They accuse the film of being funded by Dawood, That’s the easiest way to malign any Hindi film. I am not getting affected by such nonsense.”

But Anubhav is not the least intimidated. “I come from Varanasi. Abuses, profanities and threats don’t bother me. I am 6-foot guy. I can take care of myself. But my friends are worried. The minute the trailer of Mulk came out I started getting concerned calls from friends from abroad and in India. Many of these concerned callers were Muslims. ‘Look after yourself,’ they said. That worried me.”

Anubhav wonders what he has done that should be cause for concern. “The isolation of the Indian Muslim due to some terror acts is an issue that should bother all of us. I grew up in Varanasi where there would be a communal riot every other week. Then I moved to Aligarh where the Muslims made me feel completely at home. They never made me feel different from them. So when did this business of ‘them’ and ‘us’ start?”

Anubhav has steered away from politics all his life. “I’ve never made a film about politics. Mulk is my first political film because this is a subject that I had to address. Although it’s a political film there is not a single politician in my film. My point is, who precipitates this awful violence against an 80-year old man who is not guilty of the crime he is accused of? Even if he was, would we do this to an old man in normal times?”

Though volatile in theme, Mulk got the actors Anubhav wanted. “I went to Rishi Kpaoor with much dread wondering if not him, then who? But he heard my narration and immediately agreed to be in the film. Rajat Kapoor was one of the last actors to come on board. When he heard what the film was about he agreed to do any part I wanted him to.”

Mulk has just been cleared by the censor board with a ‘UA’ certificate. Anubhav is delighted. “After the film was passed with only a few minor cuts I sent a thankyou message to all the members of the censor board. I don’t think too many filmmakers do that. I went to the censor board thinking there would be trouble, considering the theme. I even thought of consulting Anurag Kashyap who has faced censor troubles repeatedly. Finally though, I had no trouble with the censor board at all. I want to thank them for getting the point. Mulk is a film that needed to be made. We can no longer sweep the isolation of the Indian Muslim community under the carpet.”

Anubhav says he wants to reclaim that part of Hindutva which has been hijacked by fringe elements. “I greet my friends with a ‘Jai SriRam’ and they look at me as if to say, ‘Et tu, Brute?’ But I want the fringe groups to know, ‘You don’t represent me’. Jai Sri Ram doesn’t belong to you.”

Abbas – Mustan come together for the Hindi adaptation of the Korean film The Tunnel

While they originally introduced us to the sleek action thriller franchise Race, this time around it was taken over by Remo D’Souza. But besides this, the director duo Abbas-Mustan has time and again explored the suspense and thriller genre in Bollywood. Now taking it a step ahead, they want to adapt one of the most successful Korean survival dramas The Tunnel [Teo-neol].

The film that released in 2016 will now have a Hindi remake but the details of casting are yet to be finalized. The original, starring Ha Jung-woo, features a man who is on his way to celebrate his daughter’s birthday. He has to pass through a tunnel amidst the mountains to reach his destination and when he does, the tunnel suddenly collapses. When he gains consciousness, he realizes that he is stranded in his car with only his phone, two bottles of water and a birthday cake to his rescue. How he struggles to find his way out is what the film revolves around.

Even though we aren’t aware of the details of the cast, recent reports claim that Abbas – Mustan are planning to get A-list and well-known actors on board. The film also has another important character in the form of Dae-kyung [played by Oh Dal-Su] who is the head of the rescue team who are struggling to get a stranded Lee Jung-Soo [Ha Jung-Woo] out of the tunnel.

The Tunnel is expected to be adapted as per Indian sensibilities and is said to go on floor by the end of this year, somewhere in December. An official announcement is expected once the main cast, the shooting dates are locked for the remake.

The Abbas-Mustan duo last came together for Machine in 2017 which was the launch vehicle of Abbas’ son Mustafar Burmawala. The film featured Kiara Advani as his love interest.

Here’s why we will see Anil Kapoor crooning the Shammi Kapoor chartbuster ‘Badan Pe Sitare’ in Fanney Khan

Here’s why we will see Anil Kapoor crooning the Shammi Kapoor chartbuster ‘Badan Pe Sitare’ in Fanney Khan

Well, the trailer of Fanney Khan gave us a deeper insight to the story of the life of the protagonist Anil Kapoor. The film features him as a singer in an orchestra and while the trailer gives a glimpse of his die-hard fandom for Lata Mangeshkar, let us tell you that he also loves yet another legendary singer Mohammad Rafi and will be seen crooning to some of his iconic chartbusters. One amongst them that will feature in the film is ‘Badan Pe Sitare Lapate Hue’.

The popular Shammi Kapoor chartbuster from his 1969 film Prince that also stars yesteryear diva Vyjayantimala, will be a part of Fanney Khan. However, the song will not be recreated in any sense except the video and the voice. Anil Kapoor will be seen singing the original song with its original music but the voice is given by Sonu Nigam.

Speaking on the same, debutant director of Fanney Khan, Atul Manjrekar stated in reports that Sonu’s name was suggested by Anil Kapoor himself and he will be able to do justice to this late Rafi number. On the other hand, also elaborating on the song, Manjrekar reportedly mentioned that the film that features Anil Kapoor as an orchestra musician will have the actor playing the role of a Rafi and Shammi Kapoor fan.

Atul described his character as someone who idolizes and worships these two legendary stars and he will also be performing some iconic Shammi Kapoor moves too. Furthermore, referring to this as more of a tribute to the veteran singer and actor, he added that Anil too was excited to do this number.

He went on to speak about how Anil Kapoor’s father Surinder Kapoor has worked with Shammi Kapoor in the past and how Anil as a child would not only love to meet him but also often sing and dance to ‘Badan Pe Sitare’. So this was one of the main reasons why this evergreen B-town star immediately agreed when he was presented with this opportunity.

As for Fanney Khan, the film also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Divya Dutta, Rajkummar Rao, Pihu Sand amongst others. It is produced under banners Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures and T-Series and is slated to release on August 3.

Bhushan Kumar, Nikkhil Advani, and John Abraham join hands for Batla House

Bhushan Kumar, Nikkhil Advani, and John Abraham join hands for Batla House

After Airlift and currently working together on Satyameva Jayate, Bhushan Kumar and Nikkhil Advani have decided to come together yet again to produce Batla House to be directed by Nikkhil Advani himself. The duo has their Satyameva Jayate actor John Abraham playing the role of Sanjeev Kumar Yadav as the one who spearheaded the Batla House encounter. The thriller drama will be written by Ritesh Shah who has worked with Nikkhil before.

The trio have had a great working relation during the making of Satyameva Jayate. And to make the most of this, the makers have decided to jointly produce Batla House together with John.

Speaking on his next, John Abraham says, “I have always been drawn to the intrigue and drama that real life holds. Small events, big ones, a human experience that resonates with a larger reality. Batla House is on point with this pursuit I’m almost obsessed with it. I am aware of Nikkhil’s talent but more than that I am sure of his intent. SMJ has started a relationship that has been wonderful between Emmay and JA Entertainment. We will work night and day to make a special film. Bhushan Kumar and our studio partner, T-Series understands our vision and I am hoping this partnership is the beginning to many more.”

Nikkhil Advani, Emmay Entertainment, says, “Given his penchant for excelling in films of this genre, John was absolutely the right choice to play Yadav, an unassuming man of few words and a long list of extraordinary achievements. The film which is a fictional account inspired by the real-life encounter will not be from one man’s perspective only but will be seen from three perspectives — that of the police, those present near the location, and the real picture. I am glad Bhushanji and I are working together again for Batla House and it is so heartening to find a studio which is open to different genres and content-driven cinema.”

Bhushan Kumar, T-Series, says, “Nikkhil and I have been working together since many years and when I heard that he is making Batla House, I decided to join hands with him. After working with John in Satyameva Jayate, I know Nikkhil has chosen the right role for him. Even though the film speaks of an incident that happened years ago, Nikkhil will show the story in a different perspective making the reel story look as real as possible. We at T-Series are keen to produce content-driven cinema and Batla House is one of them.”

Inspired by the real encounter that took place a decade ago on September 19, the film rolls in September this year. Nikkhil plans on shooting the film in Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Nepal. The film will be jointly produced by T-Series, Emmay Entertainment & Motion Pictures LLP and JA Entertainment in association with Bake My Cake Films.

Vashu Bhagnani drags Prernaa Arora to court over distribution rights of Fanney Khan

Vashu Bhagnani drags Prernaa Arora to court over distribution rights of Fanney Khan

Not too long ago, we had reported that there was a legal dispute between Vashu Bhagnani and T-Series over the distribution rights of their forthcoming films Fanney Khan and Batti Gul Meter Chalu. While the Delhi Supreme Court ruled in T-Series’ favour, now Vashu has dragged Prernaa Arora of KriArj Entertainment to EOW since the deal for their distribution rights for these films were signed through her company.

The Supreme Court in their earlier judgement had stated that Vashu Bhagnani doesn’t own any rights to distribute the films Fanney Khan and Batti Gul Meter Chalu. On the other hand, Bhagnani and team filed the case on the basis of the deal they signed with KriArj Entertainment. Now, Vashu has dragged Prernaa Arora and Protima Arora from the company to the Economics Offence Wing by filing an FIR against them over the case wherein he has been continuing his fight for his credit in Fanney Khan.

Lawyer Vibhav Krishna, who is representing Vashu Bhagnani, has revealed details of the case in recent reports wherein he has stated that KriArj had sold the distribution rights to Vashu in Rs. 10 crores, out of which, Rs. 5.5 crore were to be paid as the signing amount on December 16, 2017 whereas the rest would be a week before its release. The lawyer also alleged that Vashu had paid Rs. 8.5 crore to Prernaa in advance when the latter was in dire need of money.

Reportedly, Vashu Bhagnani’s FIR also talks about the Aroras and Arjun N Kapoor of KriArj violating the bulk deal of theatrical they had signed with each other for other films like Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, Kedarnath including the other two films. In recent reports, Krishna also added that Pad Man was another film which had Bhagnani investing in it. He maintained that Prernaa had asked Sony Pictures to pay the sum [that was invested] to Bhagnani by April 15 but the same is yet to be received.

The lawyer of Bhagnani and his company Pooja Entertainment has also asserted that the court has summoned Altaf Hussain, who handled the finances at KriArj Entertainment, with all the necessary documents like agreements, account books etc. and they also have an assurance from Prernaa that Hussain will be explaining the details to the court.

TWITTER TROUBLE: Rang De Basanti actor Siddharth gets TROLLED by Bahubali Prabhas’ fans

TWITTER TROUBLE: Rang De Basanti actor Siddharth gets TROLLED by Bahubali Prabhas’ fans

Actor Siddharth seems to have invited trouble from fans of Bahubali star Prabhas after the latter decided to joke about a certain hashtag on Twitter. His ‘just kidding’ post seem to have heavily backfired after fans of the star lashed out on Siddharth by posting many comments on his Twitter post.

It all started with post shared by trade analyst Ramesh Bala who posted, “#100DaysToKingPRABHASBday The count-down has started..” Followed by that, Siddharth decided to mock the trend of long hash tags that are often used by fans and twitteratis on their favourite idols’ birthday. Giving his take on it, Siddharth responded, “#465DayToKingPRABHASNextBdayAfterThisOne The countdown continues #HashtagsThrillButKillPleaseUseThemWithSomeDiscretion #Thanks”

— Siddharth (@Actor_Siddharth) July 16, 2018

This definitely didn’t go down well with Prabhas’ fans who decided to troll him brutally over the jokes. While posted pictures of Burnol calling it a jealous move owing to the stardom that Prabhas has, some others called him insecure and malicious. Here’s a glimpse of one of those comments posted by Prabhas’ fans:

Is it your insecurity..sense of worthlessness..malicious..callous.. black heart pushed you to comment ? as I dont see any other plausible “reason” for this tweet..Oh & you want to get wishes on your birthday let us know your Dooms oh I mean D day we #Prabhas fans are generous!
— Teluginti kodalu???????????? (@NishBrunel) July 16, 2018

A few set of them, further went on to challenge Siddharth asking him to make such comments on other actors. Some of them stated that Prabhas’ fans have been too sweet with him for trolling him very subtly whereas if he made such comments about Thalapathy Vijay and Ajith, he would have faced the wrath of another set of aggressive fans.

Can u tweet the same thing during Ajith,Vijay, rajini birthday trends. The very next minute u will leave twitter after tweeting
— Tom&Jerry ???? (@LovesTom_Jerry) July 16, 2018

Day by day the #Hashtag is becoming a joke… I think people can laugh at a joke. Nobody needs to leave Twitter. Relax, take a deep breath and laugh at a joke. https://t.co/sK5ZYJHbTX
— Siddharth (@Actor_Siddharth) July 16, 2018

Prabhas fans are too sweet to troll you for this. Try saying the same for Vijay or Ajith and see the fun ????

— Kartik Dayanand (@KartikDayanand) July 16, 2018

On the other hand, angry with the way he was being trolled for the joke, Siddharth took to social media to talk about how trolls have become so common on these platforms. He also mentioned about how the social media culture has gone to the extent of being abusive.

How is that fun? Being abused by people is common on twitter. Social media culture and fan behaviour has gone to another level of abuse. Why should anyone be scared to make a joke? People need to get serious and angry about many serious issues; not about jokes! Jokers will joke:) https://t.co/hQ0naMFQ5o
— Siddharth (@Actor_Siddharth) July 16, 2018

Well, it seems that this twitter trouble turned out to be quite unexpected to the actor who decided to just joke on the platform.
