Salman Khan, Kapil Sharma and Aditya Thackeray’s cars in RTO’s list of vehicles with unpaid fines

Recently, the Mumbai police started the process of e-challans where the drivers are given their fine ticket through internet. While they have recovered a sum of Rs. 53.8 crores, the sum of Rs. 119 crores is yet to be recovered by the cops. RTO decided to take action against the same and a list of the unpaid e-challans was recently revealed in investigative reports.

It featured the names of some prominent celebrities from the world of politics and cinema which includes cars used by Salman Khan and his family members, Kapil Sharma, Yuva Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray, MNS founder Raj Thackeray, State Transport Minister Diwakar Raote amongst others.

The reports suggest that the car related to Salman Khan isn’t owned by the superstar but actually by his brother Arbaaz Khan under the name of his production company Arbaaz Khan Productions Pvt. Ltd. The said reports have it that the car has been involved in four cases of violations for speeding beyond the given limit between January and July this year and the owners are yet to pay a fine of Rs. 4,000.

The violations include speeding, jumping signals, driving into no entry zones and not halting in front of zebra crossing. Each violation is expected to have a fine of Rs. 1000. Besides Salman, car owned by Kapil Sharma too is said to be on the list. While the comedian-actor is currently on a Europe trip, his car is said to have a fine of Rs. 2000 which is unpaid as of now.

Aaditya Thackeray, who is a renowned politician and youth leader, reportedly owes an unpaid fine of Rs. 6000 for six violations. These reports suggest that his car was caught violating guidelines six times between December 2016 and May 2018. The same reports also have a statement given by Aaditya’s aide Harshal Pradhan that the politician was unaware of these violations and that considering his respect towards the law, he would have never ignored e-challans. Pradhan further asserted that he never received the alerts from the cops.

On the other hand, the car owned by Arjun Kapoor too was said to be on the list for three cases of violation. But reports further added that the actor immediately paid the e-challans when he was contacted on the same this week.

Ahmed Khan roped in to direct Welcome 3?

Ahmed Khan roped in to direct Welcome 3?

Choreographer turned director Ahmed Khan was last seen wielding the megaphone with the Tiger Shroff – Disha Patani starrer Baaghi 2 that released earlier this year. While the director is set to direct Baaghi 3, we now hear that he has also been roped in to direct the third instalment in the Welcome franchise.

Sources close to the development say, “The Welcome franchise that has already seen two films release has become quite a success. While the previous two films viz. Welcome and Welcome Back that hit screens in 2007 and 2015 respectively were directed by Anees Bazmee, producer Firoz Nadiadwala has now decided to rope in Ahmed for the third part.”

But why change the director when the previous releases achieved box office success? The source states, “The first two films in the series were comedies, but the third instalment is likely to have both comedy and action in equal proportions. Now Anees who has directed the first two is adept at comedies, but with Welcome 3 also featuring action, the makers decided to rope in Ahmed Khan since he better suits the bill.”

While an official confirmation on Ahmed Khan being roped in to direct the third instalment of the Welcome series is awaited, it is also heard that the film will go on floors early next year. Rumoured to be titled Welcome to the Jungle, the film will see Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Paresh Rawal reprising their roles from the original film.

SCOOP: John Abraham, Anees Bazmee and Kumar Mangat team up for Saade Saati?

SCOOP: John Abraham, Anees Bazmee and Kumar Mangat team up for Saade Saati?

Earlier this year, there were reports claiming that Ajay Devgn has come on board for the Anees Bazmee project titled Saade Saati. It was also being said that Anil Kapoor will be a part of the same film. However, it is being said that there has been change in the cast and that John Abraham has been brought on board for the film.

Not just that. There have been a couple of more additions. A source close to the development has shared that John Abraham will not only be acting in the film but he will also be co-producing it. Besides him, even Kumar Mangat is said to be backing the project. However, whether Anil Kapoor is still a part of the film or not is yet to be known. The leading lady for the film too is yet to be finalized.

Despite all the changes, Saade Saati continues to be the directorial of Anees Bazmee. In an earlier report, it was stated that the movie is based on a popular Indian superstition. ‘Shani’ or rather called ‘Saturn’ is said to bring bad luck for seven and half years due to its influence and this is what the film aims to tackle with. Considering the changes, it is yet to be seen as to when the film will go on floor.

Furthermore, let us also remind you that John Abraham too is busy with his work commitments currently. He has Satyameva Jayate which is only a few days away from its release. He has also been brought on board for Romeo Akbar Walter aka RAW – a spy drama inspired by true story, which features him with Mouni Roy. While he has already started shooting for the latter, it is yet to be seen when he will complete all his schedules to start work on this Anees Bazmee directorial.

SUPER EXCLUSIVE! Kareena Kapoor Khan to play Jahanara Begum; Anil Kapoor to play Shah Jahan in Karan Johar’s grand epic period drama Takht!

SUPER EXCLUSIVE! Kareena Kapoor Khan to play Jahanara Begum; Anil Kapoor to play Shah Jahan in Karan Johar’s grand epic period drama Takht!

It has been reported that Karan Johar’s exciting period drama revolves around the darkest and bitter struggles (between Aurangzeb and his brother, heir apparent Dara Shikoh) for the Mughal imperial throne or takht (the peacock throne was a famous jeweled throne that was the seat of the Mughal emperors of India. Also called Takht-i-Jahangir (as called in Urdu) it was built by Mughal emperor Jahangir and is currently located at the Diwan-i-Khas at the Red Fort in Agra.

In a tweet, Karan had described the movie saying, “An incredible story embedded in history… An epic battle for the majestic Mughal throne… A story of a family, of ambition, of greed, of betrayal, of love & of succession… TAKHT is about WAR for LOVE…”

The film boasts of a massive star cast including Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. While it has been reported that Vicky will play Aurangzeb and Ranveer will essay the role of his elder brother, Dara Shikoh, Kareena Kapoor Khan will play Jahanara Begum Sahib and Anil Kapoor is said to play their father Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal emperor.

Alia Bhatt is said to play Dara Shikoh’s wife, Begum Nadira Banu. They had a happy and successful marriage and Dara was so much in love with his wife that he never married anybody else after her. Vicky Kaushal plays Aurangzeb who married the feisty, spirited Dilras Banu Begum (her role is said to be played by Bhumi Pednekar), who was his first wife, chief consort and favourite, and died a year before he ascended the throne. Jahnavi Kapoor is said to play the role of a young slave girl, called Hira Bai, who Aurangzeb fell in love with. Hirabai died young and he was extremely affected by her death. Aurangzeb also had a favourite concubine, Udaipuri Bai.

Says a trade source, “Apart from her equation with Karan, who is directing the film, Kareena has agreed to be part of such a strong cast also because of the fabulous role she plays. In fact, her role is equal to Ranveer and Vicky’s in Takht. She plays Ranveer and Vicky’s sister. Jahanara was a highly influential lady at the Mughal court during her father and Aurangzeb’s minds who was allowed to speak her mind and give advice. Anil plays their father Shah Jahan, considered to be the most competent of the Mughal Emperors (and had built the Taj Mahal in Agra) but who was imprisoned by Aurangzeb during the war of succession. It’s a powerful role too. In a film with a star cast and talent like this, one has to make sure that all the stars get their due.”

Like his son Aurangzeb when a war of succession ensued, after his father Jahangir died, Shah Jahan emerged victorious and ascended the throne. But in Aurangzeb’s case, Shah Jahan supported his eldest son Dara Shukoh who was later defeated and later killed by Aurangzeb. Jahanara Begum was one of the wealthiest and most powerful women during her father Shah Jahan’s rule, who earned her own income from a number of villages and owned gardens. She was the eldest daughter of Emperor Shah Jahan and his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, was also the older sister of Crown prince Dara Shikoh and Emperor Aurangzeb and became the First Lady (Padshah Begum) of the Mughal Empire (after her mother died), at the young age of 17. She brought up her siblings and helped her father to get out of mourning. Jahanara was also instrumental in arranging Dara Shikoh’s marriage to Begum Nadira Banu.

Jahanara Begum was an extremely powerful at the Mughal Court, where Shah Jahan entrusted her with charge of the Imperial Seal and took her advice on administrative and political issues. Unlike the other royal princesses, she lived in her own palace, and not Agra Fort. When the war of succession broke out, Jahanara supported her brother Dara Shikoh and Shah Jahan asked Jahanara to intervene. After Aurangzeb ascended the takht, she joined her father in imprisonment at the Agra Fort, and looked after him until his death (1666). But after their father’s death she and Aurangzeb patched up and he gave her the title, Empress of Princesses.

And it is for the Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree. The horror comedy has already grabbed attention after its trailer released recently and now we hear that Kriti too will be seen in a special dance number, just like Nora Fatehi in ‘Kamariya’.

BREAKING: Krrish 4 postponed; here’s when this Hrithik Roshan starrer will go on floors

BREAKING: Krrish 4 postponed; here’s when this Hrithik Roshan starrer will go on floors

The Krrish franchise is one of the biggest of Bollywood and also of Hindi cinema. Interestingly, this superhero franchise began in 2003 with Koi Mil Gaya, as a story of a mentally retarded person who gets powers from an alien. Director Rakesh Roshan then switched tracks, albeit seamlessly, with Krrish in 2006. That is when the superhero bit was added to the franchise and it went to another level. Impressed with the success, the makers decided to then make Krrish 3 in 2013, and it turned out to be a bigger success. It also tremendously benefited its lead actor Hrithik Roshan and it helped a lot in making him a superstar.

The fans were happy when it was announced earlier this year that Krrish 4 indeed is in the offing and that it’ll release on Christmas 2020. Speaking exclusively to Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh Roshan however said that the film might be postponed. He said, “I am still working on the script. The process got delayed and I’ll announce the release plans later.”

He added that the film would go on floors in 2019. He stated, “After Hrithik Roshan completes the film with Yash Raj Films (co-starring Tiger Shroff), he’ll shoot for this film sometime next year.”

The beauty of all the films of Krrish series were that they were extremely kid-friendly and were also wholesome family entertainers. Rakesh Roshan assured that Krrish 4 would also be on the same lines. He assured, “Not just kids, but people of every age group will enjoy the film!”

All the films of the series have cost a lot but that hasn’t deterred Rakesh Roshan to think big and give something different for the viewers. But he knows his limits too. He said, “I spent a lot, especially on the spaceship and the VFX in Koi Mil Gaya and also in the later films of the series. But I didn’t really think a lot about recovery. But if I feel something is unaffordable, I don’t put it in the first place. Even with Krrish 4, I remove those scenes which I feel would make my film go over budget, at the script level itself. If I try to cut costs, then the VFX might be tacky.”

So involved is Rakesh Roshan going to be with Krrish 4 that he won’t make be producing any other film until the movie is completely ready. He’s expected to soon make an announcement about the release plans and other actors in the cast.
